Job Description
Are you passionate about helping customers harness the power of big data and analytics? As a Cloud Support Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting customers running ETL workloads and analyzing large datasets using AWS services. You’ll work with advanced tools and technologies, including AWS Glue, Athena, and Managed Workflows for Apache Airflow, to help customers design, troubleshoot, and optimize their data pipelines.
Experience
2+ years of experience in big data/Hadoop, with strong knowledge of Hadoop architecture and administration.
Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language such as Java, Perl, Ruby, C#, or PHP.
Hands-on experience with databases (MySQL, Oracle, NoSQL).
Strong Linux/Unix system administration skills, including disk, memory, and permissions management.
Familiarity with distributed computing environments and ETL concepts.
Experience working with Docker and containerized applications.
Qualification
Expertise in Hadoop MapReduce and its ecosystem (Zookeeper, HBase, HDFS, Pig, Hive, Spark).
Proficiency in Python and shell scripting for automation and troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of ETL principles and their application in big data environments.
Prior experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, ELB, RDS, DynamoDB, and EMR.
